Growing Guide -
Herbs |
|
Most herbs are fairly easy to grow requiring a sunny location, a fairly well drained soil, and regular picking to keep the plant compact. Rocket Gardens herbs will grow well in the garden, potager, containers, window boxes or even hanging baskets.
Weeding should be carried out regularly and trimming of invasive herbs such as mint should be taken care of before a problem occurs.
For convenience we recommend where practicable your herb garden or containers should be sited as close to the kitchen as possible.
Further details relating to the cultivation of various herbs supplied by Rocket Gardens are listed below:
Basil
There are many types of basil. It can be grown outdoors in the UK in a well chosen position away from wind and cold but it doesn’t like to be over watered so will not enjoy a wet summer!
